Shoe Shine Sunday

I don't know how I managed to persuade people to come, bring their shoes, polish them and then pay me. We raised over £100 in about 1 hour! I think we have raised over £1000 so far for Oasis House in Romsey

Perhaps we should do it again next year!

What is Food For Thought?

A couple of years ago a few of us in All Saints, Winterslow got together to explore the possibility of creating a more accessible, non-traditional and complimentary fresh expression of church within our village.

Much prayer and planning went into the original proposal and with the blessing of Nils, our vicar and the PCC we got the go-ahead to begin a monthly meeting in the village hall called Food For Thought.

With an emphasis on good food, short services, plenty for children to do and a fun, family atmosphere, many are finding it’s right for them. Now in it’s third year we’re still on a fast learning curve.

A survey told us, yes, people like it - we must continue, but we ourselves feel we’ve still a long way to go. It’s at times exciting, at times fun, at times frustrating and at times just plain old hard work, but, just like the people who come, we’re all on a journey and right now, there’s no place we’d rather be!
